Alton Towers News

With the retirement of The Flume and now the addition of teasers for a ground-breaking new ride development, the next Secret Weapon project is coming to Alton Towers.

Set to open on 24th March, Galactica is the world’s first rollercoaster entirely customised for the full virtual reality experience, transforming riders into astronauts and plunging them into outer space with a G force more powerful than a real rocket launch.

Alton Towers announced a new three year improvement plan back in December 2015, called Towers Loving Care (TLC), and we're now starting to see some of progress from across the theme park.

In addition to adding new attractions, restaurants, shops and entertainment, maintaining and enhancing the existing rides and areas is a big part of keeping Alton Towers so magical.
