New for 2015 at Thorpe Park, Island Beats brings the best in UK music together with world-class rides. The Vamps, Ella Eyre, Rizzle Kicks, Professor Green and Conor Maynard will headline the music event from Monday 6 July - Sunday 30 August.

Thorpe Park has launched the world’s first I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Maze inspired by the hit TV show. Here is our exclusive interview with Andrew Walker, the Operations Director at Thorpe Park, about the brand new family attraction for 2015.

Six months in planning, the new attraction has been fitted with the latest technology and special effects to breathe animatronic life into the jungle. Features include multi-sensory ‘leg ticklers’ that simulate the feeling of being covered head-to-toe in bothersome bugs, a vibrating bridge walkway which will leave you feeling unsteady on your feet and moving trees and walls.

The £2.5 million expansion of Europe’s only Thomas Land at Drayton Manor is now open.

It was hats off as the Fat Controller officially unveiled the extension to the attraction and the crowds in Sodor were delighted when a host of familiar faces, including Percy, James, Rosie and of course the star of the show, Thomas himself, chugged into Knapford Station to join in the opening celebrations.

Thomas Land has increased in size by 40% and is now home to a host of exciting new rides as well as Sodor Airport, which is set to be a soaring success. The airport complex includes balconies that offer ‘jet-setters’ unrivalled views over Thomas Land and beyond, with Thomas & Friends themed event rooms, which will be opening in Summer 2015 and it’s very own Sodor Coffee Shop.

Excited visitors couldn’t wait to climb aboard, fasten their seatbelts and prepare for take-off as they became the first to experience the three brand new rides – Captain’s Sea Adventure, Flynn’s Fire & Rescue and Toby’s Tram Express.

Thorpe Park has applied for planning permission to build a 2438sqm building to house a unique indoor fully themed atttraction ready to open for Summer 2016.

The new attraction will be located on the site of the Arena and Chief Ranger’s Carousel, between Nemesis Inferno and X.

It is rumoured that the attraction will be based on a major intellectual property such as the BBC's Doctor Who, whom Merlin Entertainments, the owners of Thorpe Park, have recently worked with on Cbeebies Land at Alton Towers.
