- Spyders (New for 2019) - in this family-friendly walk-through groups of explorers work with the S.A.S (Secret Arachnid Service) to help infiltrate the infestation of ‘gigantula’ spiders who have taken over the park. Spyders is set over a good number of dark and mysterious rooms, each with a fully made up gigantula character who interacts with the group. In each room, a line to a rhyme is given which must be memorised to escape the final room where you'll meet the queen, who has developed a taste for human flesh - and just don't call her an insect! We found the character acting top-notch with good lines and level of interaction. The room decoration was more basic with some light leaks from outside breaking the atmosphere in places. There is a short net cobweb section that is a fun crawl or clamber, less mobile visitors can bypass this. Overall, Spyders is a great addition to the Halloween line up at Chessington, suitable for a large age range.
- Creepy Caves Unearthed - this award-winning scare maze is seriously impressive, with a superb concept, design, effects and acting. The former reptile and creepy crawly exhibit in the Zoo closed its doors a couple of years ago due to the discovery of a dangerous new plant species, but you're allowed back into the caves to take a look... what could possibly go wrong? This is a fully acted walk-through experience with detailed and immersive sets, utilising various special effects and making excellent use of the original attraction building. This year it's included in park admission.
- Trick or Treat Wood - perfect for younger adventurers, as there are no scares. This year's route has lots of enchanting performances and humour, still taking place in a woodland setting opposite Room on the Broom - A Magical Journey. It has improved greatly since it was first introduced in 2015 as the storyline has been refined and the area is much more densely populated with trees, which have all grown considerably bigger. Along the way you come across a series of weird and wonderful characters that interact with your group, from fairies and goblins to a talking tree!
- Haunted Howl’o’ween Live Show - a spooky spectacle featuring excellent song and dance routines, with a very enthusiastic and talented cast. This toe tapping spook-tacular is the best live show we have ever seen at Chessington due to the quality of the choreography, performances and staging. It was thoroughly entertaining and had us bopping along to the Halloween tunes.

The whole theme park has been decorated for Halloween, with hundreds of pumpkins and skeletons adorning the rides, attractions and many other areas. Together with some spooky lightning, smoke and music this provides a wonderful atmosphere.
Howl'o'ween continues at Chessington World of Adventures on 19th October - 3rd November 2019.
